The territorial scope of our professional liability insurance generally extends worldwide, except for liability claims arising from activities
a) through law firms or offices established or maintained in other states,
b) in connection with advice and engagement in non-European law,
c) of the lawyer before non-European courts.
For liability claims arising from the policyholder being held liable before non-European courts, insurance coverage is limited to the minimum mandatory sum insured.
The relevant regulations in Sections 4 No. 1, 16 IV AVB-A or Section 51 Para. 3 No. 2 to 4 BRAO apply.
Fees for services are charged in accordance with the Lawyers' Remuneration Act (RVG). If billing is to be handled differently, fee agreements (Section 34 RVG) or remuneration agreements (Section 3a et seq. RVG) will be concluded before the mandate is accepted.
